HOW TO READ ALL OF USAGI YOJIMBO!
Read all of these in the order I'm posting them in:
That'll give you about all the main stories, minus maybe some special here or there I've forgotten. With that said, here's some extras:
- A collection of rare stories with Usagi in them, such as the story he did for a fundraiser for Ukranian war victims: Usagi Yojimbo: Rare Stories Collection.
- The collection of (nearly) all the crossovers between Usagi and TMNT. Stan made another story after these, and there was another crossover done in the Saturday Morning TMNT comic recently as a sequel to the episodes of the 80s show where Usagi appeared. Usagi Yojimbo / Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- The Complete Collection.
- A collection of some extra material- the entirety of Space Usagi (as of the point of printing), a short sci-fi spinoff about Usagi's descendant in a space opera setting; Senso, a miniseries set a couple decades after the normal Usagi comics that serves as a possible conclusion to the story, crossing over with a famous 19th century sci-fi novel. Stan has underlined that it's just one possible future though, and not necessarily canon; Yokai, a graphic novel made to celebrate the series' 25th Anniversary that was entirely coloured in watercolours by Stan and serves as an important story with Sasuké, a recurring character in the main books. Usagi Yojimbo Saga - Legends.
- The other TMNT Usagi crossover Stan made after the above collection. It's set in the same setting as Senso, so read after it: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles / Usagi Yojimbo - Wherewhen.
- A bizarre small story that serves as a continuation of sorts to Space Usagi: Space Usagi - Yokai Hunter.
- A collection of the White Star Rising arc of Space Usagi, which has already been collected in the Saga - Legends above. However, it also includes a lighthearted new story about a little kid in the Space Usagi setting: Space Usagi - White Star Rising TPB.
And that genuinely is the whole thing overall. It's missing some stuff like the SatAM TMNT crossover I mentioned or the Usagi and Power Rangers crossover because those weren't by Stan and I just don't care lol
